#129 因州の器 2 Inshu Tableware 2

暮らしの中で使われてきた手仕事の日用品の中に「用の美」を見出すことを目的とした民藝運動。

山陰地方では多くの民窯がその影響を受け、器をつくり続けています。藁灰をベースにした３色の釉薬を掛け分けた特徴的な器は、古くから河原町中井近辺に伝わる技法を受け継いだものです。形はあくまで使いやすさを追求し、大胆な釉薬の表情が どこかモダンな印象を醸し出しています。

The Mingei movement's goal was to discover the "beauty of use" in handmade items used in daily life. The many citizen-owned kilns in the San'in area were influenced by this philosophy, and continue to make tableware to this day. This unique tableware divided into three colors of straw ash-based glaze has inherited techniques handed down long ago in the Kawaharacho Nakai area. They are shaped in a way that is easy to use, and their bold glazing brings about a modern impression.
