Probably from the south west of France, this pot was a classic from the rural areas. Traditionaly use to store, grain, dry goods or fat, the pot was sometimes cut. Bottomless the pots were used in the garden as a kind of green house to protect the plants.It is a good example of everyday life objects that were made locally by small local workshops or little regional manufactures.
